Progress Trails

Written chapters of your journey toward a vision, built from recap-linked progress and exportable as Markdown.

Instructions

How progress trails turn momentum into narrative.

You do

Build progress on a vision

Keep capturing in Present and running Extract. Recaps identify moments that advanced your active visions and add them to each vision's Progress tab.

What happens

Progress moments accumulate

Each linked moment is typed: milestone, learning, obstacle, reflection, or habit. When thirty have not yet been woven into a trail, your vision card shows trail-ready.

Benefit

A chapter you can keep

A finished trail is a first-person narrative tied to your vision, with traceable sources. Open it from Past, read the story, and export to Markdown from the menu.

You do

Continue the arc

Each new trail can build on earlier chapters for the same vision. A forty-eight-hour cooldown between trails keeps each chapter meaningful. Not every recap needs a new one.

Interactions

How progress trails connect across your story.

Visions

Every trail belongs to one vision. Open the vision card on the trail detail screen to see what you were working toward.

Recaps

Extract is the main way progress moments are created. Recaps from the same window can appear as sources on the finished trail.

Moments

Daily captures are the raw material. Progress moments link back to the underlying moment you can open from sources.

Stories

Select a progress trail in Search before starting a story discovery chat to ground a new narrative in longitudinal momentum.
